The Bank of England is inviting applications for African/African-Caribbean Scholarship Programme. Scholarships will be awarded to students who will be starting their undergraduate degree courses at UK universities in the autumn of 2017.
The Scholarship Programme is aimed at individuals from Black or Mixed African or Caribbean backgrounds who are interested in gaining experience at the Bank of England and who need financial support to complete their full-time undergraduate degree.
The Bank of England, formally the Governor and Company of the Bank of England, is the central bank of the United Kingdom and the model on which most modern central banks have been based.
Scholarship Award: The maximum support a successful applicant can access is up to £30,000. During a three year degree programme this would equate to £10,000 per annum. In addition to this, students will undertake paid internships with the Bank in the summers between their first and second, and second and third years.
Eligibility: The programme is open to
- Students who are eligible to work and study in the UK
- At least 102 UCAS points, (Pre 2017, 260 UCAS points
- Household income below £50,000
- Students must be planning to start a full-time undergraduate degree in Autumn 2017
