St. John’s University is pleased to offer merit based scholarships to first year, full-time undergraduate students who enroll in a bachelor’s level degree program for the Fall 2018 term. The admission application is used to automatically determine merit scholarship eligibility; no additional application is required.

Fall 2018 Merit Scholarships: Please note that the Queen, Manhattan and Staten Island campuses have different tuition rates. Scholarships are awarded based on the student’s academic ability, program of study, and campus of record.

Undergraduate freshmen scholarships may be renewed for up to four years of continuous full-time undergraduate study at St. John’s University, provided the student maintains the academic requirements of the scholarship outlined in the Undergraduate Bulletin. Scholarships are not applicable to intersession, winter session, post-session, or summer sessions.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.): Academic Scholarships for students entering the six-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program are offered for the first four years of the six year program.

The Pharm D program is a highly competitive program, scholarships range from $14,000 to $24,000 with a limited number of full tuition awards.

SAT/ACT and Test Optional applicants will be considered for a full range of scholarships.  Scholarship eligibility will be based on a holistic review factoring in the High School GPA, rigor of the academic coursework, letters of recommendation, essay and the student’s extra- curricular activities.

Other Opportunities: All applicants may be considered for a range of other merit and need based grants. Financial need is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All eligible students are encouraged to file the FAFSA when it becomes available October 1.
