The University of Sheffield is pleased to offer a range of undergraduate (BA, BSc, BEng, MEng) scholarships to students from Nigeria who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2014. The university will offer scholarships to international students commencing their studies in the Faculties of Engineering, Science, and the School of Law in September 2014.

The University will also offer Nigeria Management Scholarships to Nigerian undergraduate students starting their studies in the Management School.

The university will also offer Social Science Scholarships to Nigerian undergraduate students starting their studies in September 2014 in any of the following departments: East Asian Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, Information School, Journalism, Politics, Sociological Studies, Town and Regional Planning.University of Sheffield

There are also two Nigeria Merit Undergraduate Scholarships available for Nigerian students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2014.

To be eligible for the Nigeria Management Scholarships 2014:

  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in the Management School.
  • You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically – no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

To be eligible for the Social Science International Scholarships 2014

  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in any of the departments listed above.
  • You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically – no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

To be eligible for the Nigeria Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2014, applicants must:

  • be a Nigerian national or permanently domiciled in Nigeria,
  • apply for a study place by Friday 18 April 2014 and
  • Hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2014.
  • The Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Value of Scholarship

  • The Management scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each
  • The Social Science International Scholarships is worth £1,500 per year each.
  • The Nigeria Merit Undergraduate scholarships are worth £7,000 of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year. This will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
